Gas Rebate Information

Natural Gas Appliance Incentive Program

 

 

     Program Guidelines

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicant must be a current or future MUPB natural gas customer.
  • Service must fall under a Residential or Commercial rate classification.
  • Rebates apply to new or converted qualifying natural gas equipment installed in a new or existing home or business served by MUPB.
  • Limit of one rebate per rebate type, per customer account, per five‑year period.

Application & Documentation

  • Rebate applications must be processed within 120 days of installation.
  • Include a copy of a recent MUPB utility bill showing the customer’s name and service address.
  • Include a dated original retail receipt or contractor invoice.
  • Incomplete applications may be delayed or disqualified.
  • Applicants should retain copies of all submitted forms and documentation for their records.

Rebate Processing

  • Rebate checks are typically issued within 4–6 weeks after receipt of all required documentation.
  • Rebates are subject to available funding; applications will be processed on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
  • Offer is available for a limited time and may be changed or canceled by MUPB at any time.

Installation & Compliance

  • All equipment must be installed in compliance with local, state, and federal codes, as well as manufacturer specifications.
  • MUPB reserves the right to conduct field verifications of installed equipment.
  • MUPB does not guarantee equipment performance, either expressly or implicitly.
  • All equipment must meet minimum program requirements, with no exceptions.

Rebate Payment Eligibility

Rebates may be paid to one of the following:

  • Builder constructing a speculative home
  • Builder constructing a model, tract, or custom home
  • Customer contracting a builder
  • Customer acting as general contractor
  • Customer ordering a new manufactured or mobile home
