How do I get a pool adjustment?

Customers need to complete a pool adjustment form along with date stamped photos of empty pool and photos of filled pool.

If I pay my bill online, how long does it take to reflect on my bill?

Online bill pay can take up to 24 hours.

Can I get an adjustment for a toilet leak?

No, toilet water is processed water and has been treated in our system.

How do I check for a toilet leak?

The best way to check for a toilet leak is with dye.  Put dye in the tank and do not flush for a few hours.  If dye runs into the bowl after not flushing toilet, the toilet is leaking.

Where can I get dye or dye strips?

MUPB will give customers dye strips at no charge, however food coloring will work in place of dye strips.

Who provides my hot water?

Water is heated using a hot water heater.  MUPB is not responsible for the function of the customers hot water heater.

Who funds MUPB?

MUPB is a non-profit municipality.  MUPB is governed by a five-member board and is not funded by tax payer dollars.  We are funded solely by utility bill revenue.

How do I get a sewer leak adjustment?

Complete and submit sewer adjustment form for review and/or approval.

How do I get a water/sewer/gas tap?

Customers should contact MUPB and request a work order for water/sewer/gas tap pricing.  Customer will also need to acquire a plumbing permit from a licensed plumber and local health department.

What do I do if I smell gas?

If you smell a gas odor or you are unsure if you have a gas leak, leave the house immediately and call MUPB at 606-784-5538 from a cell phone or neighbors home or another location.

            Do not attempt to locate the gas leak

            Do not turn lights on or off or unplug appliances

            Do not use telephones in or around your home

Is my bill still due every month on the 15th even if I do not receive a paper bill in the mail?
